It truly is extraordinary.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/neverforever.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/DSCN0562.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-523\" src=\"http:\/\/neverforever.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/DSCN0562-450x338.jpg\" alt=\"DSCN0562\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 raccoons<br \/>\n\u2022 black bears<br \/>\n\u2022 bald eagles (mature and juvenile)<br \/>\n\u2022 ravens, crows, and jays<br \/>\n\u2022 Canada geese<br \/>\n\u2022 cormorants<br \/>\n\u2022 loons<br \/>\n\u2022 osprey<br \/>\n\u2022 kingfishers<br \/>\n\u2022 herons<br \/>\n\u2022 auklets<br \/>\n\u2022 various other birds, particularly gulls and ducks<br \/>\n\u2022 orcas<br \/>\n\u2022 humpback whales<br \/>\n\u2022 Dall&#8217;s porpoises<br \/>\n\u2022 harbour porpoises<br \/>\n\u2022 Pacific white-sided dolphins<br \/>\n\u2022 sea lions<br \/>\n\u2022 seals<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/neverforever.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/DSCN0717.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-524\" src=\"http:\/\/neverforever.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/DSCN0717-450x338.jpg\" alt=\"DSCN0717\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Still waiting&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 otter (B and Z saw four! but I haven&#8217;t see one yet)<br \/>\n\u2022 wolf<br \/>\n\u2022 cougar<br \/>\n\u2022 grizzly bear<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; and all the other sea life that complements the basic setting of trees and rocks, such as clams, oysters, cockles, mussels, barnacles, starfish, jelly fish, and fish.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/neverforever.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/DSCN0807.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-525\" src=\"http:\/\/neverforever.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/DSCN0807-450x338.jpg\" alt=\"DSCN0807\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If this round-up looks like a tick list, I suppose it is. Or maybe a wish list. This trip has underlined how much I value the opportunity to view animals in their natural habitat. Some of our encounters on this trip have been mind-altering.<\/p>\n<p>If you have the chance to visit the Broughtons, go: it&#8217;s a fantastic trip.
