Well that\u2019s that. We\u2019ve fixed everything else so now the likely culprit is the head gasket. So it\u2019s home early for us and the mechanics will start tearing her apart. ?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Going through Dodd Narrows using the dinghy as a side tow was not on our bucket list :-(Engine overheated (again) and the wind died right at the entrance. But we made it. Now it\u2019s off to the dock for some serious mechanical investigations.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Interesting sight to wake up to. And we used to be nervous maneuvering our teeny boat through a crowded mooring field! These guys had nerves of steel \ud83d\ude42<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Ever wonder what sailing downwind in 6-8 knots of wind against a 3-4 knot current would look like?The engine overheated for the second time just out side the anchorage with a tricky entrance so we decide to turn back, followed by a couple of hours of very frustrating sailing. We failed to figure out the issue ourselves, so many thanks to the great people at @nanaimoyachtcharters for the tow and mechanical assistance. A combination of a faulty thermostat and what looked like half a shredded impeller (not the current one which was fine) stuck in the heat exchanger seems to have been the issue. Never would have figured that out on my own :-(Made it back to Montague safely and are set to try it all over again.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
