#day14 Several years after our Nfld trip we went sailing on the West Coast for the first time. Canada’s two coasts are incredibly similar yet so different at the same time. #day11 Since we are on to photography, these two hand-printed photographs were shot my long-time friend Akemi Matsubuchi in 1997 for the book I’ll Never Marry a Farmer. They capture the spirit of our 100-year-old piano and hold tremendous sentimental value for all sorts of reasons. They languished in a folder for a decade or so until I finally framed and hung them.Piano

#day9 I met Sam working at Hole’s back when she was just an art student. She has gone on to create a beautiful canon of work and build a thriving art business. The figure is an early piece she had for sale at one of her old, clear-out-the-art sales \u2014 it caught L’s eye and we’ve owned it since the mid 2000s.
