So apropos of that I decided to revisit some of the video I shot while sailing last year in anticipation of the coming season. I have picked up a SJCam4000 (a GoPro knock-off) for doing some more filming so if I am going to be a big YouTube star I will need to get some fancy-ass graphics going.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/macblaze.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/sjcam.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-11090 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/macblaze.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/sjcam-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/macblaze.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/sjcam-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/macblaze.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/sjcam.jpg 384w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>That meant&nbsp;I needed&nbsp;to take a look at Adobe After Effects again. (<a href=\"http:\/\/macblaze.ca\/?p=5991\">Here is the last time I screwed with it.<\/a>) Essentially After Effects is sort of the Photoshop of the video world. It allows one to do all sorts of fancy effects before moving the composition into Premiere or iMovie for the final cuts.<\/p>\n<p>After a day&#8217;s work I didn&#8217;t end up doing anything fancy but it did get&nbsp;my mostly-rusted-shut skills a bit looser. So this is the AE composition (just the&nbsp;graphics) laid&nbsp;over a small video clip.
